MAYA FADEEVA

Updated: Nov 22, 2020

In 2015 Maya graduated from the Conservatorium Maastricht with a Bachelor of Music and emphasis in Jazz Singing. She participated in a wide range of Jazz Festival. In 2012 she won the Contest JazzTube Bonn.

Bobby McFerrin complimented Maya during a joint performance and the famous german singer Jule Neigel said:

While listening to this voice, you’ll open your ears wide.

This voice is very extraordinary. Actually it reminds me of all the great Blues and Soul singers, who I love the most. Maya has a lot of Blues, a lot of Soul, and really her own style. She is a Lady. She is my favorite.

In 2018 Maya Fadeeva released her standout debut album Chamëleon in collaboration with Club des Belugas. Celebrated in the press as Diamond and one of the biggest highlights of the year, Chamëleon dazzled a worldwide radio audience. Her second album will follow in March 2021.

Catchy melodies adorned with soft swinging jazz elements, folk, soul, electro and sunny reggae capture the essence of Maya Fadeeva’s music. As a singer, songwriter and producer she allows her creativity to seep into her work, creating exceptional and one-of-a-kind tunes. Her smoky voice is the protagonist and the audience, her captive listener.

Maya’s creative work is a well-balanced mixture of original compositions and unique interpretations of cover songs, both of which are often infused with a healthy dose of infectious humor.

Tom and Jerry awoke her love for swing music at the age of seven, but it was the Russian melancholia of her St. Petersburg childhood that became a main source of inspiration for Maya. When she combined it with the multifaceted impressions of her later years in New York, the contrasting fusion created her unmistakeable style.

Follow Maya on her musical path. You’re sure to love the journey!
